STYLE HOME PAGE
I was so honored when Leena with Style Home Page reached out to feature me in their "What's In Her Bag?" series! I give a little background about myself and why I started blogging as well as share my top 5 "must have" beauty products! I thought I'd share all my answer here as well as link each product!
Where do you draw inspiration from?
I’m inspired by the everyday woman who works hard, dreams big and wants to look good doing it! I’m inspired by anyone who works daily to accomplish a dream. I love following strong women who have made an impact in their community. I use this blog to help point these women to affordable clothing and I hope to spread a little positivity along the way!
What advice do you have for aspiring bloggers?
DO IT! Don’t let fear hold you back from doing something you’re passionate about. I had a lot of doubt and fear about starting my blog. You just have to know that your voice and your opinion matters. People are always looking for great advice, whether it’s on a top you bought for a great price or a recipe you tried and love.
What is the best thing about being a blogger?
So far it’s the people I’ve met. There is a large group of bloggers in the Nashville community and I haven’t met one that isn’t kind and encouraging! I’ve also met small business owners that I’ve had the opportunity to promote! And lastly, I’ve met new followers that are looking for fashion inspiration. I’ve made new friends just through having the same taste in clothing!
How long do you want to sustain this?
Oh goodness, I have no idea how long I’ll do this. I guess as long as my followers stay interested in what I have to say! The beauty of blogging is it’s on your time. So I hope to continue this no matter what career path I choose to take in the future.
What's In Her Beauty Bag??
1. Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in shade Manic
This is the color I wore on my wedding day. Three years later, it’s still a must-have!
I LOVE this product. I still wear pressed powder and instead of caking on my powder when I get oily, I use MAC Blot Powder. It takes away the shine without thickening the powder look.
I’m pretty new to the highlighter game, but I got this highlighter a few months ago and it makes me feel so glamorous every day. I use the color Moonstone.
This is my go-to, everyday foundation. I love that it covers but doesn’t feel sticky or thick. It leaves a matte finish, allowing me to use less powder.
“When in doubt, wing it out,” am I right? I used to use a $20 eyeliner that was great, but I stumbled upon this $7 Maybelline eyeliner and my bank account has been thanking me ever since! It works just a great, if not better, than the expensive brands.
Thanks for stopping by!
xx
